Pengembangan LKPD Berbasis Pemodelan Matematika Materi Aritmatika Sosial Konteks Perubahan Iklim untuk Mendukung Kemampuan Literasi Matematis Siswa SMP
Abstract
Rendahnya kemampuan literasi matematis siswa Indonesia akibat dominasi pembelajaran konvensional mengindikasikan perlunya inovasi bahan ajar yang lebih kontekstual dan bermakna. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan LKPD berbasis pemodelan matematika pada materi Aritmatika Sosial dengan konteks perubahan iklim untuk mendukung kemampuan literasi matematis siswa SMP. Penelitian ini merupakan design research tipe development studies menggunakan model Plomp, yang mencakup tiga tahap: preliminary research, prototyping phase (meliputi self-evaluation, expert review, one-to-one, small group, dan field test), serta assessment phase. Subjek penelitian adalah 40 siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Palembang. Data dikumpulkan melalui lembar validasi, lembar observasi, pedoman wawancara, dan soal tes, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKPD dinyatakan valid berdasarkan penilaian ahli pada aspek konten, bahasa, dan instruksi visual. LKPD juga dinyatakan praktis pada tahap small group, di mana desain scaffolding yang diterapkan mampu membantu siswa mengatasi hambatan kognitif sekaligus mendorong kemandirian belajar. Selain itu, LKPD menunjukkan efek potensial dalam mendukung kemampuan literasi matematis siswa, yang ditandai dengan kemampuan mereka menyusun formula aljabar secara tepat serta memberikan keputusan yang logis terkait risiko cuaca ekstrem. Dengan demikian, LKPD berbasis pemodelan matematika dengan konteks perubahan iklim ini layak digunakan sebagai alternatif bahan ajar untuk melatih literasi matematis sekaligus menanamkan kesadaran lingkungan pada siswa.
